CENTRAL COAST REGIONAL TITLES - this weekend (26th March 2011) at North Shelley Beach
Entries $50 and you can surf in 2 divisions - entries close Thursday 24 March - let me know if you need an entry form - emailed or I can drop in a hard copy. All entrants must be members of Surfing Australia.
TAKE 2 ON THE Second Comp - after being washed out and blown away last weekend we will try again for this Sunday 27 March - 7am start (registration on the day if you haven't yet joined).

Registration needs to be done on this day - $50 per year for club t-shirt and end of year presentation evening. $5 to surf each month includes a sausage sandwich. Social Membership will be $30 which also includes tshirt and presentation evening.

Our comps are run on the 3rd Sunday of each month depending on the surf. The 4th Sunday is our back-up day if needed and if there is still no swell at Umina we may move up the coast for the day. Comps start at 7am and go until all heats, semis and finals in each division have been run. There is a bbq on the beach with sausage sandwich provided. Drinks and additional sausage sandwiches can also be purchased.
Our 2010 End of Year Presentation held at Umina Bowling Club was a great success. Many thanks to Jarrod Matthews and his band "The Little Ghost" as well as Benjamin Eastwood for entertaining us on the night - everyone loved the music! I still have some of the lucky door prizes at our place....there were a few left under tables at the end of the night! Our final results for the year were.....

We also held our AGM the following Tuesday with our new Committee being elected. Shane is President, Verity Secretary/Treasurer, Coatsey Contest Director and Drew is Club Captain. If anyone has any questions or issues at any time please see one of us so it can be sorted!
Shane and I also want to say a MASSIVE THANKS to all for the dinner at Pearls on the Beach. Can't wait to get over there for a great meal and view - not to mention a bit of peace from the 5 kids! Thanks again - it is greatly appreciated.

Umina Boardriders and Ocean Beach Malibu Club would like to thank all our members for their support and financial assistance - Karen is overwhelmed.
Together the club members and others that attended the auction helped raise over $6000 - what a great effort. Moyo put on the waves and the weather for us all - what a great day!
We lost a much-loved member of our club on Wednesday 21st April, Shaun "Moyo" Moy passed away suddenly from Heart Disease - a blocked artery. He was only 44. Moyo was a genuine, top bloke and will be greatly missed.
Shaun's wife, Karen Goss, has had to borrow money to pay for the funeral expenses, so the Central Coast surfing community is uniting in an effort to help Karen meet these costs. If you are able to donate a few dollars towards Shaun's funeral costs, you can either give to a Committee Member to pass on or deposit directly into Karen's account at Westpac Bank, BSB-037145, Acc No. 675235 or send your cheque to Ms Karen Goss, 65 Bruce Cres, Wallarah, NSW, 2259.
